1980-1985 Staff (if any)  It's not known if BAC had any staff serve at Northwoods during this period.  Troops with long camping histories at Northwoods continued to come up and camp on their own--even using some canoes that remained at Northwoods.  For instance Troop 127 out of Crystal Lake. 

1986:  Bob Knox was Director of a High Adventure operation launching Canoe Trips out of Northwoods for this summer.  As more is learned it will be posted.  William "Bud" Schroeder assisted for a week.

1980 and 1981: Wayne State University, under Professor Gangware, operated a Biological Research Station at Northwoods in the Summers.  Students also did lab-work and research projects.  At least the property was put to good use.
