Their official website can be found at: www.blackhawkscouting.org
This site looks at history of Scouting in northern Illinois and southwestern Wisconsin through the activity patches issued for events. They are colorful and sometimes descriptive. Further, I will try to determine what were active district names during appropriate years.
Discussion: other councils have used the word Blackhawk for camps and districts. For instance, Chicago Area Council's Camp Owassipe has a sub-camp called Camp Blackhawk. Further, I believe Northwest Suburban Council has a district named Blackhawk. Additional confusion can arise from other council's districts having the same names. This is suspected with Sauk and Kishwaukee but possibly others. What I'm indicating is that some of the patches depicted here "may" not be from the Blackhawk Area Council and its Districts. When I receive definitive information, I will delete or make corrections.
The rights to the underlying patches and designs reside with the BSA and Blackhawk Area Council. The digital scans of the patches are my work and are not to be used without my permission.
