Back in July 2001, I completed a 3-4 day backpacking trip in the Cloud Peak Wilderness of the Big Horn Range in Northern Wyoming with my best friend Perry.  The high clear mountain lakes and views were what made the trip worthwhile.  Parked the car at 9300' and hiked to the 9700' for the first night.  Stayed there the whole next day acclimating.  Then hiked up to the 10300' level.    The entire trip had a spectacular ending by hitting a deer on the interstate at 70mph in a rent-a-car.  Nobody was injured and the car was drivable which made getting home easier.  I'm wrestling with insurance presently.  Thank goodness I used a platinum card.
